Terrorists unleash a deadly virus in a small village, killing everyone. The US President tasks a team of scientists, led by Dr. Galen Bronty, to find a cure before the plague wipes out humanity. Meanwhile, the President himself goes into quarantine on an island to lead the country from a safe zone. However, when a terrorist hijacks a plane full of children and crashes it on the island, the President must act quickly to stop the spread of the plague.
