A cunning woman orchestrates a marriage to a rancher, using her position to spark a bitter feud between rival families and ultimately gain control of the land through her clever and ruthless strategies.

Ann arrives in Raton Pass, caught in a feud between the Challon and Pozner families. She seduces Marc Challon, a young man from the richest cattle ranch family, and marries him. Ann convinces Marc to leave the ranch to her and seduces Prentice, a wealthy railroad owner, into buying out her husband. With Marc and the ranch hands gone, Ann takes control, hiring gunslinger Cy Van Cleave and his outlaws to seize the ranch.
