Riders of Black Mountain background

Riders of Black Mountain

A U.S. Marshal disguises himself as a gambler on a stagecoach ride that quickly transforms into a high-risk heist when a notorious gang, led by Pete Smith, attempts to hijack the vehicle.

U.S. Marshal Tim Donovan, disguised as a gambler, rides the Black Mountain Stage when it's held up by Pete Smith and his gang. He and his friend Tombstone pursue the outlaws, but are arrested by Sheriff Clay Matthews, who mistakes them for the robbers. After being freed by Judge Harper, Tim discovers a charred money-bag at the Judge's house, leading him to suspect that the gang used the Judge's house as a rendezvous. Tim teams up with an insurance investigator to uncover that stage agent Biff Hunter and town banker Emmett Chase are confederates of the gang. Despite being suspected by the sheriff, Tim captures one of the gang members, Bart, and learns the names of the leaders before he's ambushed and killed.
