After her mother's passing and the arrival of a new step-mother, Amrita becomes withdrawn. Her father is informed that she may need counseling, but he refuses and instead donates to her school. Amrita then meets four others: Zuben, Dushant, Karan, and Tanya. They indulge in drugs and alcohol, but things spiral out of control when they accidentally kill a couple. A corrupt police officer demands 25 lakhs to keep their involvement under wraps. Unable to pay, they concoct a plan to fake Amrita's kidnapping, demand the ransom from her father, and clear their names. Amrita goes missing, and her father involves the police, assigning the case to Inspector Arvind Mathur.
