In 1992, Sandi Tan and her friends shot Singapore's first indie road movie, "Shirkers", with their American mentor, Georges Cardona. Sandi wrote the script and played the lead, but after shooting, Georges vanished with all the footage. Twenty years later, the recovered 16mm cans led Sandi on a new journey across continents and media formats, from 16mm to handwritten letters.
