Wealthy rancher Charley Bronson invites two nieces to his Texas ranch to decide which one should inherit his fortune. He poses as the ranch cook to study them. Initially, he favors the night club singer, Laurie, but turns against her when Hilda, who has discovered his true identity, invites Laurie's friends to the ranch. Bronson reveals himself and Laurie leaves. Ranch foreman Steve Andrews brings Hilda back to the ranch, where the Hoosier Hotshots perform.
