Leandre Sanders, born in Venice Beach, LA, was a talented skateboarder who spent most of his days and nights at the local skatepark. Despite his love of skateboarding, his family was involved in gangs and crime, and his older brothers followed in their footsteps. However, Leandre's determination and unique "no stance" skate style caught the attention of filmmaker Van Alpert, who documented his journey over the next decade. Despite facing adversity, including homelessness and poverty, Leandre never lost his drive to skate and became an internationally-respected skater.
