A group of London children, known as The Battersea Bats, aim to build a car and participate in a soapbox derby. However, their rival gang, The Victoria Victors, learns about the project and attempts to steal the plans. Tensions rise when one of the Bats is expelled for dirty fighting and joins the Victors to exact revenge.
