In a massive junkyard, Svalka, on the outskirts of Moscow, a 10-year-old girl named Yula lives among the trash and crime. The dump's 17-story-high walls are guarded by security, and life is harsh, with vodka as the primary currency. Despite the difficulties, the inhabitants share what little they have and support each other. Yula dreams of escaping, but as she grows up, she realizes her fate is in her own hands and decides to take control of her destiny.
