Serafim, a fresh medical graduate, arrives in the ghost town of Palilula, a quarantine area in 1960s Romania. The town is home to a community of eccentric individuals who have forgotten their language but still cherish traditional music. Despite being a childless town, the community lives in a state of innocent unawareness. Serafim, unable to practice medicine, becomes trapped in the town's sweet but toxic atmosphere.
