Sweetheart of the Fleet background

Sweetheart of the Fleet

A secretary's secret infatuation with her unresponsive boss inspires her to take a bold step and join a Navy recruitment event as a stripper, hoping to capture his attention.

Phoebe Weyms, a secretary in love with her boss Gordon Crouse, tries to attract his attention by unmasking the mystery girls from the "Blind Date" radio program. She recruits two agency models, Jerry and Kitty, to pose as the singers, while Brenda and Cobina, the actual singers, perform behind a curtain. The plan backfires when Brenda and Cobina elope with their sailor escorts, leaving Phoebe with two uncooperative singers.
