An orphan turned sheep herder, Tharlo is known by his distinctive ponytail, as his real name has been forgotten. With a remarkable memory, he recalls many things, but not his own name. After decades of bachelorhood, he seeks to take a photo for his identity card, where he meets a girl who transforms his life.
