Tom Sawyer, Becky Thatcher, and Huck Finn stow away on Mark Twain's interplanetary balloon, which is heading towards Halley's Comet. Twain is disgusted with humanity and wants to crash into the comet, believing it's his destiny. The trio must convince him to change his mind, not only because it's the right thing to do, but also because they'll share his fate if they fail. Along the way, they use a magical time portal to explore the events that inspired Twain's works.
