A British soldier's life takes an unexpected turn as he forges an unlikely bond with an IRA captor, gradually introducing him to his own culture.
An unlikely friendship forms between an IRA volunteer and a kidnapped British soldier, who escape and flee to London. The volunteer, Fergus, adopts a new identity and begins a romantic relationship with a hairdresser, unaware of a secret she holds.
