Toni Gerard, penniless and alone, finds solace in the city with the help of a fortune teller and a shooting gallery owner. She becomes smitten with Brad, a lawyer who is courting Jo, a client of the fortune teller. When the fortune teller is injured, Toni takes her place, using her newfound influence to meet Brad and sabotage his relationship with Jo.
