Steve and his sidekick Arkansas rush to help their old friend Dan McBride, whose cattle are being rustled by his former associate Thatcher. Dan is accused of tipping off the gang, but his daughter Carol reveals that her father is actually the informant. To catch the thieves, Steve and the Sheriff plan to lure them with a fake herd, setting a trap to capture the Thatcher gang.
