A young Pony Express rider, Bob Langdon, receives an appointment to West Point, but is forced to leave due to political intrigue surrounding his friend General George A. Custer. He later becomes a scout for Custer's 7th Cavalry and is sent to deliver a message for aid during the Battle of Little Big Horn, emerging as the sole survivor.
