A disinterested soldier named Snafu is jolted awake by the bugle call, but he's reluctant to start his day. A mischievous "Goldbrick fairy" appears, singing songs that tempt him into shirking his responsibilities. Despite his best efforts to procrastinate, the fairy ultimately reveals its true identity as a cunning Japanese spy who has been secretly undermining the army's defenses.
