In 1930s Korea, during Japanese occupation, a young pickpocket is hired as a handmaiden to a Japanese heiress living on a secluded estate. But the maid has a hidden agenda, working with a swindler to seduce the Lady, steal her fortune, and confine her to a madhouse. As the plan unfolds, the maid and the Lady discover unexpected emotions that complicate their situation.
