In Los Angeles, a struggling gambler, Paul Weston, owes a large sum to a dangerous mobster, Freddie. To raise the necessary funds, Paul joins forces with a professional thief, Gene, and a group of acquaintances, including a bartender, Vinnie, and a stock market broker, Roger Hargitay, to pull off a heist in the jewelry district. Unbeknownst to them, another group of thieves, including Roger's co-workers, are planning the same heist on the same day, leading to a chaotic and tense confrontation.
