Tweety Bird longs to fly outside, but Sylvester's constant threats keep him grounded. Granny comes to the rescue with a jet-propelled cage, allowing Tweety to soar safely. However, Sylvester refuses to give up and uses various tricks to catch his feathered foe, all of which ultimately fail. In the end, a determined Sylvester joins the U.S. Air Force, plotting his next move to outsmart Tweety.
