The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby

In a desperate bid for freedom, a family must brave treacherous terrain and overcome formidable obstacles to reclaim their loved ones from the grip of a ruthless oppressor.

In 19th century England, the death of Nicholas Nickleby's father leaves his family in poverty. His uncle, Ralph Nickleby, a ruthless moneylender, forces Nicholas to become a teacher at a miserable school in Yorkshire. Nicholas escapes with one of his students, Smike, and joins a group of traveling actors. As they navigate the world of theater, Nicholas must protect Smike from harm and thwart his uncle's schemes to exploit his sister Kate and later his love interest, Madeline Bray, whose father is imprisoned for debt.
