A British superintendent arrests an entire tribe in British India on suspicion of poaching and theft. The tribe's leader, Sultan, breaks out of prison with his men, but his wife and newborn child die in the escape. Sultan vows to fight against the British, who send a mobile unit to capture him. Sultan eludes capture and prepares to attack a train carrying his people to a detention compound, unaware of the trap that awaits him.
