The Ringmaster

A recovering gambling addict uses his inheritance to create a documentary about beloved onion rings from his childhood and the Minnesotan chef who makes them. As the project unfolds, the filmmaker becomes obsessed with improving the chef's life, despite the chef's reluctance. The film takes an unexpected turn when the crew secretly turns the cameras on the filmmaker, capturing his struggles and setbacks over three years.
