The Singing Nun background

The Singing Nun

A nun's ordinary life is turned upside down when she discovers a hidden talent for music and becomes an unlikely pop sensation.

Sister Ann, a young and inexperienced nun, arrives at Samaritan House in Ghent, Belgium, where she is met with skepticism by Sister Cluny due to her progressive views and prized guitar, Adele. Despite this, the Mother Prioress believes Sister Ann will be a valuable addition to the order, and she is eventually asked to record her music by Father Clementi, who believes she has talent. Unbeknownst to them, Sister Ann and the record producer, Robert, were old friends who attended the Paris Conservatory of Music together. As Sister Ann becomes famous, she begins to question whether her newfound celebrity status aligns with her religious duties, especially after a life-threatening incident involving a local boy, Dominic.
