The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, also known as the SixTripleEight, was an all-black female battalion that served in Europe during WWII.

The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, comprising 855 African American women from the Women's Army Corps, was sent to England and France in February 1945 to tackle the massive mail backlog in the European Theater of Operations.
