Simon Wells, a middle-aged American, encounters 20-year-old Joan on the street in Weymouth, mistakenly believing she's a prostitute. Unbeknownst to him, she's part of a motorcycle gang's scheme to rob tourists. After a brutal beating at the hands of Joan's brother King and his gang, Simon meets Bernard, a military man, and his mistress Freya Neilson. As the story unfolds, Joan and Simon's relationship deepens, but they're pursued by King's gang. They take refuge in a top-secret military facility, where they discover a group of seemingly dead children.
