Eve, a 30-year-old struggling to find inspiration, sets out to create a self-reflexive documentary to unlock her creativity. She calls her brother Max, an actor, to help her, despite their distant relationship since their mother's passing. The siblings revisit their childhood home and film at Ithaca Falls, the site of their mother's famous book. As they recreate scenes from the book, Max becomes frustrated and they fight. Eve gets hurt and tries to cook one of their mother's recipes, but ends up ruining it. Max takes charge, making dinner for his sister and they share a meal by a bonfire in the backyard, helping Eve to take care of herself.
