Texas Rangers from Laredo team up with a constable from New Hampshire, who aims to modernize law enforcement in Texas. They encounter the cunning outlaw Linda Littletrees, but lose her and eventually get rid of the constable. They're then joined by an old friend of Reese's, who thinks he's a jinx. The Rangers try to capture Linda again, but she falls in love with Joe after seeing him shirtless and has him tied up to marry him. The other Rangers must rescue him, and Joe manages to escape unharmed.
