Three Live Ghosts background

Three Live Ghosts

After their liberation from a POW camp, three men, Jimmy Gubbins, Billy Foster, and Spoofy, face the daunting task of readjusting to life in England, unaware that they have been mistakenly declared dead.

Three soldiers, reported dead in the First World War, return from captivity to find their families have moved on, believing them to be deceased. They assume new identities as "The Three Live Ghosts". The group faces various challenges, including a mother who seeks to keep her son's supposed death a secret to collect life insurance, and the discovery of a nobleman's stolen child, which leads to unexpected complications.
