In this movie, a former dance hall girl named Lorna assumes a new identity as a lady and marries a wealthy Texas rancher named Colt Saunders, who is a former Confederate officer. She quickly wins over the hearts of everyone on the ranch. However, the carpetbag government is determined to seize control of the large ranches, including Colt's, unless the ranchers decide to take up arms against them. Meanwhile, one of the carpetbaggers discovers Lorna's true identity, threatening to expose her secret.
