In 2009, Brian Cross organized a series of live events at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex in Los Angeles. The Timeless series featured live, fully orchestrated performances by Mulatu Astatke and Arthur Verocai, as well as a tribute to James "J Dilla" Yancey by Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.
