Shakti Thakur returns to his hometown in India after studying in London, accompanied by his girlfriend Anita, who his family disapproves of. As Shakti becomes disillusioned with the town's animosity and his father's rivalry with a crippled brother, Anita leaves to meet her parents. Shakti's plans change when his father passes away, and he decides to stay and manage the family estate. He meets Gehna, a local woman who has loved him for years and hopes to marry him.
