Walking on Air background

Walking on Air

A plucky heroine joins forces with a charming crooner to outwit her patriarch and capture the affection of her soulmate.

Ann Sothern's daughter wants to marry a man her wealthy father despises, so she invents a plan to win his approval. She hires an actor to impersonate a snobbish French aristocrat, and then pretends to fall for him in front of her father, hoping this will persuade him to accept her original choice over the boastful, self-centered, and insulting French count.
