Jim Vaus, a former Army electronics expert, starts a new life with his wife Alice, hiding his past sentence for unauthorized use of government equipment. He becomes involved with a gangster mob, using his skills to help them with wiretaps, alarm systems, and even saving a life. However, after his friend Tony is killed, Alice convinces Jim to attend a Billy Graham sermon, which inspires him to leave his criminal life behind.
