In 1950s Coney Island, the bustling crowd walks slowly over wooden boardwalks, hiding the stories of everyday toilers who bring life to the attraction. A sad waitress, Ginny, a former actress, is given a second chance by carousel operator Humpty. His estranged daughter, Carolina, returns home with broken wings, seeking forgiveness. Meanwhile, young lifesaver Mickey, a hopeful playwright, becomes the catalyst that binds everything together, as shattered dreams, reckless love, and betrayal unfold under the bright lights of Coney Island.
