A troubled young woman, who was raised in an orphanage, struggles to form emotional connections with others. She uses her youthful appearance to her advantage when she's mistakenly accused of a crime and decides to hide at the orphanage, where she's able to blend in unnoticed. There, she befriends a 13-year-old homeless girl named Kristina, and together they embark on a perilous journey to a small town in Kazakhstan, where Kristina's grandmother awaits.
