Yao, a 13-year-old boy from northern Senegal, risks everything to meet his idol, French actor Seydou Tall, who is visiting Dakar to promote his new book. Yao travels 387 kilometers alone to the capital, driven by his determination. Seydou, moved by the boy's bravery, abandons his commitments to accompany Yao back to his village. Along the dusty and uncertain roads of Senegal, Seydou discovers that their journey not only takes him towards the child's home, but also towards his own roots.
