A colony of ants is forced to defend themselves against greedy grasshoppers who demand a share of their food. In a desperate attempt to protect their home, the ants send a bumbling ant named Flik to recruit warrior bugs to fight off the grasshoppers, but he ends up with a troupe of inept circus performers instead.
