A Skin, a Night background

A Skin, a Night

A group of five musicians has spent years refining their distinctive style, blending indie rock, post-punk, and art rock to form a singular musical identity.

Seeking the right lyrics, notes, sounds, and instruments to express oneself is not easy, especially when a group of artists is searching for a new sound. A communion with the spectator is formed as The National, a band from New York, creates a new album in a film called A Skin, A Night. The story begins in the studio, where the director follows the band as they craft new songs, searching for a unique sound. The film shows the creative process, from a simple guitar riff to a complete song, revealing the dark places in the artists' hearts and souls. The result is a ticket to follow the band on a journey that ends with the release of their album "Boxer".
