Abraham Lincoln, aged 9, witnesses his mother's murder by vampire Jack Barts. A decade later, he fails to kill Barts but meets Henry Sturgess, who teaches him vampire-fighting skills. Abe kills vampires under Sturgess's direction while studying law and working as a store clerk. He marries Mary Todd and later, as US President, discovers vampires fighting with the Confederates, leading him to launch a campaign against them.
