In southern Iran, a young couple, Hibat and Feresteh, live in a small village, filled with idealism and a passion for democracy. Despite facing danger, they actively protest against the Shah and later Ayatollah Khomeini, refusing to back down. Forced to flee in 1984, they embark on a perilous journey with their son, eventually finding refuge in France's Île-de-France region.
