An Imperfect Murder

Actress Vera Lockman struggles to come to terms with the murder of her drug-dealer ex-boyfriend, Sal, whose body she hid in a trunk in her living room. As she navigates her relationships with her lover Leon and filmmaker friend Franklin, Vera's guilt and paranoia grow. She tries to cover her tracks by disposing of the body in a lake, but her efforts are complicated by the arrival of a narcotics detective, McCutcheon, who is suspicious of her alibi. As Vera's emotions become increasingly unstable, she turns to her family and a new acquaintance, Carl, for support, but her sense of security is shattered when she discovers that McCutcheon has been watching her.
