The movie "As One" tells the story of the first-ever post-war Unified Korea sports team, formed to participate in the 1991 World Table Tennis Championships. The team was formed as a symbol of unity after the North Korean bombing of Korean Air Flight 858 in 1987. Two world-class players, who had only ever met as opponents, must put aside their individual ambitions and work together as teammates to defeat a dominating Chinese team and win the championship.
