Four directors bring to life tales of love and passion, inspired by the 1970 Decameron. The story follows a working-class couple, Renzo and Luciana, who must keep their marriage a secret from her employer, while also finding a place to call their own. Meanwhile, a provocative billboard featuring Anita Ekberg selling milk sparks outrage in a crusader for public decency. A count's wife, tired of being overshadowed by her husband's infidelities, decides to take control of her life and find a new purpose. A carnival booth manager, struggling to pay her taxes, offers herself in a lottery to a nerdy sacristan and a jealous cowboy, creating a complicated love triangle. Throughout these stories, women take charge, but not always with happiness.
