Calling Wild Bill Elliott background

Calling Wild Bill Elliott

A lone cowboy named Wild Bill rides into town to face off against a ruthless militia leader who's been terrorizing local ranchers and threatening to take over their land.

Gabby Hayes reminisces about his adventures with Marshal Wild Bill Elliott, including their battles against crooked governor Steve Nichols. When Cactus Jim Culver is murdered, Wild Bill is accused of the crime, but he escapes a lynch mob and convinces a federal judge of Nichols' wrongdoing. However, the judge is soon murdered, and Bill is again accused of murder, prompting Edith Richards, the judge's daughter, to post a $5,000 reward for his capture.
