In the thrilling film, two fearless pilots, Jim and Neil Blaine, clash in a high-octane competition, both in the air and in their pursuit of the captivating Jill Collins, a beautiful parachutist.

Commercial pilot Jim Blair, blackballed after a plane crash, finds a new career as a bank teller, but meets a beautiful parachutist named Jill Collins and joins her air carnival act after her brother's death. As they tour the Southwest, their relationship becomes intimate, but Jim resists marriage, fearing his risky lifestyle. When his brother Bud joins them, he too is attracted to Jill but respects Jim's relationship. After Jim's convalescence, he returns to find Bud and Jill married and, filled with anger and bitterness, he becomes a soldier of fortune, losing an eye and a leg. Eventually, Jim returns to Cuba to save his brother and passengers from a plane crash.
