A mischievous Oxford student, Arthur Linden-Jones, is stuck on campus after a wild night, missing his lead role in a Victorian farce. To salvage ticket sales, he sneaks off, getting himself and friends Burton and Brown into more trouble. They concoct a tale about Brown's aunt, an Egyptologist, to impress the Dean, and Arthur takes on the role of "Aunt Lucy" by dressing up.
