Detective Al Church investigates the murder of attorney Frank Girard, initially suspecting Ms. Leigh Cullen, who was seen with the victim. However, the arrival of Leigh's supposed twin sister Tracy at the police lineup leaves Church with no clear suspect. He consults Psychiatrist Dr. Jim Eiseley, who knows Leigh, to evaluate the sisters and run tests to identify the killer.
