Suzume Yosano, left behind in Tokyo, starts a new life with her uncle, Yukichi, after her parents move to Bangladesh for work. She meets a kind stranger who helps her find her way, only to discover he's her homeroom teacher, Satsuki Shishio, at school. As she navigates her first year of high school, Suzume finds joy in her new friendships and adventures with her teacher.
